  • Under the voter education programme of Election Commission of India, SVEEP, the material and tools used are myriad including Resource Books for Electoral Literacy Clubs, Brochure, Comic Books, Flip Charts, Animation and feature films, Radio stories, Floor Games, computer games. This section is a collection of all such resources and also includes publications and reports brought out under SVEEP.

  1. Mainstreaming of Electoral Literacy: Establishment of ELCs - reg

    All CEOs are requested to launch the ELCs in identified institutions on the 8th National Voters' Day. To begin with, as a pilot, the Schools where NEQ had been conducted may be identified as the first set of Schools for setting up of the ELCs. The launch may be accompanied by a simple activity to be decided by the CEO or concerned DEOs/EROS e.g. components of the Interactive School Engagement(lSEJ, drawing debate etc
    The Training of State Master Trainers shall be held in February at ECI on these resources, CEOs are therefore requested to urgently send the data sought on numbers of ELCs identified for roll out in Phase-l and details of State Master Trainers sought vide letter dated 2nd |anuary 2018. 5.
    Funds to the tune of Rs 13 crore have been specifically earmarked for States/UTs for establishing ELCs and accordingly, CEOs and DEOs may draw their training calendars and plan the ELC roll out.

  2. National Awards for 2017

    The list of Awardees is enclosed for Best Electoral Practices Awards.
    For the Awards for Departments and CSO, the name of the person who will receive  the award along with designation and contact details may be communicated urgently
    through return mail.
    For all Awardees, except the CEOs, Liaison Officers (LO) are being appointed who shall be contacting them, telephonically. The contact details of the Awardees may therefore be urgently provided. The invitation card would be available with the LOs in view of the short time available. Wherever the Awardees want additional invites for family members, the same may be conveyed to the respective LOs.

  4. Inviting members for Editorial Board for VoICE India, a Bi-annual magazine-reg.

    The Commission has decided to launch VoICE India, on the National Voters'Day on fanuary, 25,2018.
    The magazine will focus on maximizing the national experience sharing in voter education and learning and would be a repository of good practices across the country to inspire the election officials to emulate and implement successful endeavors.
    As desired, by the Commission, the Editorial Board shall have members from all theStates/UTs. You are, therefore, requested to nominate a member for the editorial board of VoICE India who must be proficient in writing. You can also nominate someone from an educational institution if found suitable.

About Us

SVEEPSystematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) is a programme of multi interventions through different modes and media designed to educate citizens, electors and voters about the electoral process in order to increase their awareness and participation in the electoral processes. SVEEP is designed according to the socio-economic, cultural and demographic profile of the state as well as the history of electoral participation in previous rounds of elections and learning thereof.
