Sikkim begins its SVEEP activities for ELCs in the State for the year 2022- 2023


Mock election is a great activity to impart knowledge and hands-on experience to the ELC  Members, it encourages them to be participative and inculcates a sense  of pride and responsibility especially in the future voters and new voters.  

with this motive a SVEEP drive to conduct  Mock Election in all ELCs of the state has been initiated by the office of the CEO Sikkim. The following Government School from Mangan district conducted the mock election for their ELC members on month of May 2022.

Name of School :  (1) Mangshila Sr.Sec.School  (2)  Lachung Sec.School   (3) Tingchim Sec.School (4) Phodong Sr.Sec.School (5) Kalzang Gyatsho Sr.Sec.School, Kabi (6) Phensong Sec School (7) Lachen Sr.Sec.School  (8) Tingvong Sec.School (9)  Hee Gyathang Sr.Sec School  (10) Tasa Tengay Sr.Sec School, Chungthang  (11) Ghor Sec.School. (12) Passingdang Sec.School.

 

also, the  Government College Mangshila conducted Orientation Programme for students (new voters) under SVEEP...the participants were informed regarding History of Election in India & Sikkim, Election procedure, EVM & VVPAT functionality, Eligibility & Documents required for voting, malpractices during election & need to vote ethically.
