The two-day free football/registration camp-cum-exhibition match spanning 3 months, 13 districts of Nagaland culminated on November 10, 2023 at IG Stadium Kohima. The closing ceremony hosted by the Office of the CEO Nagaland and District Election Office Kohima in collaboration with Nagaland Sports Association also featured exhibition matches between CEO Office and DEO Office, Kohima. -
State wide two days free football/registration camp for young voters cum exhibition match

3rd phase of the two days free football camp cum exhibition match was held in Zunheboto, Wokha, Pughoboto and Kohima Districts. The camp is organized by the office of the CEO Nagaland in collaboration with Nagaland Sports Association and District administration as part of the State SVEEP initiative to target first time voters and to increase registration of voters in the age bracket of 18 - 20 years. Mr. Aningu Pienyü, State SVEEP Icon who is a prominent football player in the State and a AIFF licensed coach is also part of the visiting/coaching team. Along with the sports camp, facilitation centre & help desk are also set up during the camp to help facilitate registration of eligible citizens, correction of entry and collection of advance applications.2nd phase of the two days free football camp cum exhibition match was held in Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Phek, Tseminyu and Tuensang Districts. A State Level seminar on Clean Election

As part of the SVEEP initiative, a State Level seminar on Clean Election was organized by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer Nagaland with participants from various Church associations of Nagaland on 26th September, 2023 at De Oriental Grand, Kohima. The main purpose of the seminar was to help augment the ongoing Clean Election Movement of the NBCC and to provide a platform where there is an exchange of information and ideas to take the movement forward. Shri T. Mhabemo Yanthan, IAS, Commissioner of Nagaland graced the programme as the Guest of Honour and Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary, Nagaland Baptist Church Council also attended the seminar as Special Guest. The seminar also included technical sessions with resource persons from both the CEO’s office and the Church establishment. The resource persons were Shri. Awa Lorin, Joint CEO (Topic- Legal Provisions on Electoral Roll and Conduct of Elections), Shri. Toshimeren Aier, Assistant CEO (Topic- Reflections on State Assembly Election, 2023), Dr. Villo Naleo, Convenor, Clean Election Movement, NBCC (Topic- Clean Election as a platform for ushering desirable change) and Dr. Pangernungba Kichu, Professor of Society, Christan Ethics and Contextual Theology, Oriental Theological Seminary, Chumoukedima (Topic- Clean Election Movement Challenges and tasks ahead). -
Launching of Nagaland State SVEEP Theme Song 2023-24

Nagaland State SVEEP theme song for 2023-24 was officially launched by Shri. Ruokuovituo Khezhie, Chief Electoral Officer (officiating) on 16th September, 2023 at AWO Ki, Kohima. The SVEEP theme song is one of the initiatives taken by the office of the CEO Nagaland as part of their SVEEP programme for 2023-24. The Nagaland State SVEEP theme song, which is in nagamese dialect, is a strategic and intentional effort to leverage the popular appeal and reach of music to engage and educate the electorate of Nagaland. -

A one-day State level workshop for sensitization on benchmark disabilities and identification of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in the State was organized by Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland in partnership with Health & Family Welfare Department and Social Welfare Department on 31st August, 2023 at Japfu hotel, Kohima. The workshop was organized by the Office of the CEO Nagaland as part of the SVEEP initiative to address the issues and challenges faced in regard to identification and registration of PwDs in the electoral roll and sensitization of Benchmark disabilities in the State. The main purpose of the workshop was to provide a platform for the three Departments to come together to discuss these key issues and to collectively work towards inclusive and accessible elections. -
Tuensang SVEEP Awareness Campaign

District Election Office, Tuensang in collaboration with District Administration and Tuensang Town Council organized a cleanliness campaign as part of SVEEP under the theme - " Clean Tuensang" on 11th August, 2023. Electoral Literacy Clubs from various schools participated in the cleanliness campaign. They were highlighted on the importance of cleanliness and were encouraged on the enrolment process in the Electoral Roll and its significance in the electoral mechanism. -
