    With the objective to reach out to all the eligible voters, who have attained the age of 18 years and to encourage new voters for enrollment, a plethora of activities have been carried out by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Assam, as well as across the State by District Electoral officers. Creatives on voter enrolment, Voter Helpline App, explaining the usage of various Form(s) to be used for inclusion of a new voter both staying within the country and overseas; for Claims and Disposals; to raise objections regarding inclusion of names in the Electoral Roll; for transposition of names from one Polling Station to the other within the same constituency etc. have been boosted in the social media platforms. Newspaper advertisements on documents required for enrolment etc. has also been published in leading local dailies in English and vernacular mediums. Further, Television Commercials on Voter Helpline App and where to enroll as a new voter has also been broadcast in local Television channels.
    A number of press releases have been issued in regards to the Special Summary Revision 2022 on Special Campaign Dates that has been scheduled as a special awareness drive across all districts to encourage the citizens to participate in the Electoral process. The respective District Electoral Officers’ have organised press briefing at regular intervals with the local media representatives and held awareness rallies and workshops to this effect. The Chief Electoral Officer, Shri Nitin Khade, IAS has also conducted meetings with representatives of political parties to sensitize them about the importance of SSR 2022 as well.

SVEEPSystematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) is a programme of multi interventions through different modes and media designed to educate citizens, electors and voters about the electoral process in order to increase their awareness and participation in the electoral processes. SVEEP is designed according to the socio-economic, cultural and demographic profile of the state as well as the history of electoral participation in previous rounds of elections and learning thereof.
