Raigarh: Voter Awareness in Gopastmi Updated
On the auspicious occasion of Gopastmi, Principal of Raigarh City College along with other faculties and students visited Goshala in Raigarh. A huge number of devotees had assembled there and this provided a perfect opportunity to raise voter awareness. Everyone including senior citizens, youths, etc pledged to vote compulsorily and ethically in upcoming election. # NoVoterToBeLeftBehind

Navratri: 9 Days 9 Groups 1 Voice Updated
A SVEEP campaign started to connect the festivity of Navratri along with voter awareness. Each day of Navratri 1 such group was selected, which despite being such an integral part of society, yet is often overlooked. Each such group was briefed on the election processes, the power of their vote and they all pledged to support and participate ethically in upcoming elections.

Matdata Raahgiri Day Updated
A fun filled evening was organised by the district SVEEP team to connect with the youths and the families at the same time. A host of games, events and activities ensured that the crowds were always engaged and at the same time raising awareness for voting. The event culminated with a pledge by everyone to uphold the integrity of democracy and participate responsibly in the election processes.

Mashal Rally Updated
A unique initiative wherein a rally was organised from each of the 9 blocks carrying mashal (flame) which culminated in the Raigarh city centre. From there all the teams enthusistically led by the District Collector and Superidentent of Police, walked up to the Raigarh stadium and lit the main Mashal. This Mashal represented The Light of Democracy which stands tall and bright by the efforts of each citizen and symbolises pride.

Raigarh-Ravan Dehan on Vijayadashmi Updated
As Vijayadashami symbolises the victory of Good over Evil, District Collector burnt the effigy of Ravana, whose 10 heads symbolised the 10 vices which prevents us from voting (Fear, Greed, Laziness, Indifference, Priority, Demotivation, Wastage, Accessibility, Unawareness, Ignorance) by using the 3 weapons symbolised in the upcoming elections namely – Sugam, Sugghar and Samaveshi.

Raigarh-WE CAN Race for PwD Updated
With special focus on differently abled voters, a much-awaited event in the form of tricycle race was organised by district SVEEP team in Raigarh on 3rd Oct 2018, which saw hundreds of participants coming out excitedly and giving a strong message to everyone that NO challenge is big for them. They also pledged to extend their support in making this biggest festival of democracy, elections, a success by voting and encouraging others to vote too.

Raigarh- Daandiya Nite Updated
To connect better with the youths of today, many of whom are the first-time voters in upcoming elections, a special event in the form of Dandiya Nite was organised during Navratri on 13th Oct 2018 in Raigarh. EPIC card substituted for entry passes and counters were set up to register those voters who had still not applied for Voter card. There were separate counters to check the names in Voter List and to get demo of EVM and VVPAT machines. Special Dandiya Sticks with the message for “Awaaz Zaruri Hai” was distributed and there were regular announcements to promote awareness amongst the citizens. The event was a runaway success and saw enthusiastic participation from all sections of society. A “ Pillar of Democracy ” was also officially inaugurated which symbolises the unity and integrity of society and how the participation of each section is paramount in the development of the state & country.

Rakshabandhan with Senior Citizens Updated
District Collector took the unique initiative of celebrating the Rakhsabandhan festival on 26th August 2018 by tying Rakhis on the hands of Senior Citizens and Leprosy patients which said, “Main Vote Doonga”. This received an emotional and widespread response from the citizens and media alike for the unique thought to ensure no section of the society is left behind.

Rangoli in Raigarh Updated
Beautiful Rangolis were made alla cross Raigarh district from the start of SVEEP campaign. this included Rangolis made in Schools, colleges, banks, by Self Help Groups (SHGs), during all SVEEP events, during festivals,etc and all giving a powerful message about the importance of vote and made citizens aware about their voting rights.

Each and every events and festivals have witnessed beautiful and colourful Rangolis with powerful voter awareness messages. And this has seen participation from all segments be it school & college students or Self Halp Groups (SHGs) or Banks personnels, of Government officials or villagers. Raigarh: Voter Awareness drive in Pussore Updated
“No Voter to Be Left Behind”
A mass campaign was started in Pussore block today which saw enthusiastic participation from different sections of society, be it students, women self-help groups, Government department employees , Panchayat officials and local citizens. An awareness rally was carried across the town with over 1000 participants and made a strong appeal to people to cast their votes on 20th November. The rally stopped intermittently to include public in pledging th eir support for upcoming elections. Finally the Rally culminated in Front of Nagar Panchayat office in Dussehra ground where everyone took an oath to participate responsibly and ethically in coming elections without any fear, pressure or greed.
