In continuation of Commission's letter No. 491I1EC/2010(NRV) dated 26" August, 2010 (copy enclosed) addressed to all CEOs, I am directed to state that in the process of achieving the Commission's objective for maximization of enrolment of voters, especially of the newly eligible ones, by using the occasion of National Voters' Day to make universal adult suffrage a complete reality and thereby enhance the quality of Indian democracy, the Commission after taking note of the recommendations of the Committee of CEOs set up this regard, has decided that following SVEEP activities should be undertaken relating to National Voters' Day, 2012. -

The Commission has decided to launch VoICE India, on the National Voters'Day on fanuary, 25,2018. The magazine will focus on maximizing the national experience sharing in voter education and learning and would be a repository of good practices across the country to inspire the election officials to emulate and implement successful endeavors. As desired, by the Commission, the Editorial Board shall have members from all theStates/UTs. You are, therefore, requested to nominate a member for the editorial board of VoICE India who must be proficient in writing. You can also nominate someone from an educational institution if found suitable. -

The list of Awardees is enclosed for Best Electoral Practices Awards. For the Awards for Departments and CSO, the name of the person who will receive the award along with designation and contact details may be communicated urgently through return mail. For all Awardees, except the CEOs, Liaison Officers (LO) are being appointed who shall be contacting them, telephonically. The contact details of the Awardees may therefore be urgently provided. The invitation card would be available with the LOs in view of the short time available. Wherever the Awardees want additional invites for family members, the same may be conveyed to the respective LOs. -
