Inclusion of PwDs has always been one of the primary objectives of the Commission and also adopted by the O/o the Chief Electoral Officer, Sikkim for the upcoming General Election 2024. In this regard as a SVEEP activity for PwDs the O/o the CEO , Sikkim has decided to conduct a PwD Awareness Programme at the District level in collaboration with NGOs / Associations working with PwDs in the Districts. The programme aims to sensitize the PwD voters about different facilities provided by the Commission and simultaneously to carry out the process of tagging of PwDs.
PwD awareness camp was   conducted at   Luing  Perbing GPU  on 28th June 2023 and  Rey Mendu GPU on 29th June 2023 under Gangtok District

A brief one day study tour  on 09.05.2023 with Paljor Namgyal Girls Senior Secondary School of class XII Political Science students on understanding the Electoral Processes, polling stations and EVM machine as most of them were future voters and also are registered as an ELC School under Gangtok District.

Meeting with the  EROs and AEROs of Pakyong District,  Gangtok District and Mangan District  at the Conference Hall of the Office of the CEO , Baluwakhani, Sikkim to discuss the activities with regard to Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls with respect to 01.01.24 as qualifying date along with other issues. 

Registration Campaign is a a drive organized by the O/o the CEO , Sikkim, wherein the campaign was carried out in all the ELCs from Secondary School, Senior Secondary and College level by the office of the District Election Officer at their respective Districts. The Campaign is for all the future voters and students who are eligible to vote in accordance to any four qualifying dates. Therefore, these eligible young voters are Registered in the Electoral Roll as a continuous process of practicing universal adult franchise.
