Raigarh-WE CAN Race for PwD Updated
With special focus on differently abled voters, a much-awaited event in the form of tricycle race was organised by district SVEEP team in Raigarh on 3rd Oct 2018, which saw hundreds of participants coming out excitedly and giving a strong message to everyone that NO challenge is big for them. They also pledged to extend their support in making this biggest festival of democracy, elections, a success by voting and encouraging others to vote too.

Raigarh-Ravan Dehan on Vijayadashmi Updated
As Vijayadashami symbolises the victory of Good over Evil, District Collector burnt the effigy of Ravana, whose 10 heads symbolised the 10 vices which prevents us from voting (Fear, Greed, Laziness, Indifference, Priority, Demotivation, Wastage, Accessibility, Unawareness, Ignorance) by using the 3 weapons symbolised in the upcoming elections namely – Sugam, Sugghar and Samaveshi.

Mashal Rally Updated
A unique initiative wherein a rally was organised from each of the 9 blocks carrying mashal (flame) which culminated in the Raigarh city centre. From there all the teams enthusistically led by the District Collector and Superidentent of Police, walked up to the Raigarh stadium and lit the main Mashal. This Mashal represented The Light of Democracy which stands tall and bright by the efforts of each citizen and symbolises pride.

Matdata Raahgiri Day Updated
A fun filled evening was organised by the district SVEEP team to connect with the youths and the families at the same time. A host of games, events and activities ensured that the crowds were always engaged and at the same time raising awareness for voting. The event culminated with a pledge by everyone to uphold the integrity of democracy and participate responsibly in the election processes.

Navratri: 9 Days 9 Groups 1 Voice Updated
A SVEEP campaign started to connect the festivity of Navratri along with voter awareness. Each day of Navratri 1 such group was selected, which despite being such an integral part of society, yet is often overlooked. Each such group was briefed on the election processes, the power of their vote and they all pledged to support and participate ethically in upcoming elections.
