Report on Revival of Electoral Literary Club (ELC) 
A short programme on revival of Electoral Literary Club (ELC) was held at following Govt. Sec. School  on the month of May 2022, under Gangtok District. The main motive was to engage students through activities and facilitating hands on experience to sensitize them on electoral rights and familiarize them with the electoral process of registration and voting. A session on mock election for electing leader for ELC council was conducted.

Mock Election was organized by various Government school under Gyalshing District . The main motive was to engage students through activities and facilitating hands on experience to sensitize them on electoral rights and familiarize them with the electoral process of registration and voting. A session on mock election for electing leader for ELC council was conducted.

Sikkim Government College Rhenock conducted a mock election of the Student Representative Council on 4th of July 2022. Electoral Literacy Club in collaboration with Department of Political Science of the college supervised the entire exercise.
The motive behind organising such programme is to acquaint the students with the process of election and to teach them importance of responsible voting in a democracy.
The responsibility of Election officials like Election Commissioner , Returning Officer, Polling Officer, Election Observer etc were all selected from among students who effectively played their roles which greatly helped them learn how election is done and the official roles of such officer in a real election.

CCCT Polytechnic college, Chisopani under Namchi District conducted the mock election on 26th may 2022. The main objective of the event was to give the students a better understanding of democracy and to help them prepare for their role as Electors and to encourage their participation. The students were educated about the electoral process and were given a basic know how about how the electoral mechanism in the country. They were given a hands-on experience about the actual voting process at the polls. Emphasis was laid on explaining the importance of voting and to stress the fact as to why every vote matters.

On Friday, 27 th May 2022 the Electoral Literary Club of Government Vocational College, Dentam organized a Mock Election for the 1 st & 2 nd Year students who are the new voters for the upcoming Election. The session began with the presentation by Ms. Dawkit Lepcha student of 3 rd year and an active member of Electoral Club whereby the significance of voting, voter’s rights, the voter’s registration process, the eligibility criteria for enrolling as a voter, process of casting the vote was highlighted and also emphasized on the online registration medium i.e., nvsp portal.

The Electoral Literacy Club of Nar Bahadur Bhandari Govt. College, Tadong  headed by Nodal Officer, Miss Makutaa Rai and team conducted a Mock Election in NBBGC, Seminar Hall on the 26 th of May 2022. The main objective of the event was to give the students a better understanding of democracy and to help them prepare for their role as Electors and to encourage their participation. The O/o the Chief Electoral Officer,  Sikkim in association with O/o the DEO Gangtok, carried out a plantation drive in the premises of EVM warehouse at DIstrict Administrative Centre, Gangtok to celebrate the World Environment Day 2022.
