A big success for voter awareness campaign in Raigarh district On 28/9/2018, information of mass electoral boycott was given by people of 28 villages around Gomarda sanctuary under Sarangarh assembly constituency. Immediately under the directive of the District Collector and under the guidance of Returning Officer Sarangarh, citizens were regularly persuaded to vote by explaining them the importance of votes in the democracy through continuous public relations camps by SDM, CEO JP, SDOP Sarangarh and Tehsildar. They were also briefed about the benefits of empowering democracy by redressing all the doubts of the people. And finally on 11th Nov 2018, due to this untiring effort of all officials, all the villagers finally agreed to participate in the election process. Together, they took oath in Chhattisgarhi language to vote ethically and without any pressure in upcoming elections. With such meaningful awareness of the people, in the coming elections, more and more voters will use their voting powers to prove their participation in democracy.
