To connect better with the youths of today, many of whom are the first-time voters in upcoming elections, a special event in the form of Dandiya Nite was organised during Navratri on 13th Oct 2018 in Raigarh. EPIC card substituted for entry passes and counters were set up to register those voters who had still not applied for Voter card. There were separate counters to check the names in Voter List and to get demo of EVM and VVPAT machines. Special Dandiya Sticks with the message for “Awaaz Zaruri Hai” was distributed and there were regular announcements to promote awareness amongst the citizens. The event was a runaway success and saw enthusiastic participation from all sections of society.
